FM-200 also known as HFC-227ea or a heptafluoropropane is a compound made up of carbon, fluorine, and hydrogen (CF3CHFCF3) and is produced by Chemours. It can be used in a wide variety of applications to provide fast-acting fire suppression. Heptafluoropropane is a colorless, odorless, gaseous halocarbon commonly used as a gaseous fire suppression agent.
FM-200 extinguish fires by removing the oxygen content to below 15% where most materials do not burn. They are activated by a smoke detection system that detects the early presence of smoke. A high-quality gas suppression system means that water is not always essential to contain fires.
FM-200 suppresses fire by disrupting the fire triangle. The fire triangle is made up of heat, oxygen, and a fuel source, and by removing one of these elements, the fire is extinguished. FM-200 removes the heat or free radicals which interferes with the fire triangle’s chemical reaction to extinguish the fire.
We provide the supply, installation, and maintenance of all types of firefighting piping (both GI& HDPE), fire pumps, fire hydrants with high quality which meet the NFPA standards and fulfils the requirement of Civil Defence regulation at an economical cost.
